TTD Accomodation at Tirumala

Tirumala Tirupati Darshan is a temple of lord Venkateshwara which is situated in the Chitoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is a very well known and famous Hindu pilgrimage in India. It is also a very highly visited place wherein about 1 million devotees visit the place every day. Due to the high number of pilgrims visiting the place every day Tirumala Tirupati is always over crowded with people which raises a lot of problem for the pilgrims in terms of accommodation facilities and Darshan facility. Therefore, it is advisable for the pilgrims to book for their accommodation in advance as without advance booking it will be very difficult for them to avail rooms.

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has built more than 5000 rest houses, Dharamshalas and hotels for the comfortable stay of the people both at Tirupati and Tirumala. But these guest houses also are always over crowded by people therefore; TTD has enabled advance booking of TTD accommodation by using TTD online accommodation or by booking at various TTD information centre in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pondicherry, Visakhapatnam and other district Head Quarters in AP for up to 30 days in advance.

The process of allotting rest houses to devotees has been automated and is carried out from the central reception office of Tirumala. The pilgrims can book in advance for their accommodation for a minimum of 3 days and a maximum of 90 days. Before booking in advance they have to check for availability of the accommodation.  Pilgrims can also submit their requests with an enclosure of Rs. 100 DD drawn in favor of the executive officer TTD, payable at Tirupati and drawn on any national bank at the following mentioned address:-

If the pilgrim doesn’t specify an option of where to stay at Tirumala, he will be automatically booked for staying at Ram Bagicha guest house for 24 hrs.  TTD accommodation at Tirumala can also be availed at Sri Padmavati guest house area, Sri Venkateshwara guest house area, Varahaswami guest house area, Marriage halls and cottages and Rambagicha HUDC traveler’s bungalows. All these guest house areas has about 8-10 guest houses.

For free accommodations at Tirumala TTD has constructed several choultries with free rooms for families. For availing free accommodation pilgrims can contact the central reception office near the bus stand at Tirumala. Pilgrims can also take rest in the dormitory halls at Tirumala provided by TTD.

    Thanks for providing this wonderfull service. We are planning to visit Tirumala during our visit to India and looking at ttdsevaonline for booking eaccommodation online. We need a guest house to accommodate for around 6+ people. I am thinking of going with 2000 Rs one.     We are 5 Adult(3 Senior Citizen) and 1 children.

    We wish to visit Tirumala to have darshanam and arjitha seva on 27th Dec 2010. Our family include 5 members. However I am not abale to book online accomodation under any category (preferably Rs.500/ above) for staying on these days 25th Dec 2010 onwards 27th Dec 2010.

    Pls confirm whether we can get accomodation on these days under online reservation if not then from which date the same shall be opened. Alternatively can we get on the spot or accomodation in these category on 25th – 27th Dec 2010.

    I have booked Kalyanotsavam seva online. And in the receipt, it is said:-

    Important Information to the pilgrim:
    “Please contact CRO internet allotment counter opposite to central reception office at Tirumala to get TTD official ticket one day in advance and also accommodation for same day against your reservation. Please contact: The Advance Reservation Counter adjacent to CRO internet allotment counter opposite to central reception office at Tirumala to get accommodation on payment basis if your ticket amount is of Rs.2500 & above.”

    What does this mean? Do we get accommodation?

    We (5 members) are planning to get a glimpse of Lord Sri Balaji on 14th Jan 2010 (Festival day), my first question is, how much waiting time does the Sheegra Darshan(Rs 300) and Sudarshan(Rs 50) typically takes on festival days.

    Second, If we opt to purchase e-Sevas (Nijapada Darshanam/Archana) – Do we still need to purchase Darshan tickets (Sarvadarshan/Sudarshan) as well or the e-Seva ticket itself means entry ticket as well.

    Lastly, how much waiting time (in Queue) does these e-Saves take.

    I am bothered about waiting times as I will be Flying back to another country on 15th January.

    Normally online esava tickets are replaced by TTD tickets 2 hours prior to your darshan timings. This info is just a prior intimation that please exchange online ticket with TTD token to have darshans.

    Where can I exchange my eseva receipt for actual tickets? Can I do this in Tirupathi or should I go to Tirumala.

    I don’t have accommodation at Tirumala but my seva is at 5am – so I want to stay overnight at Tirupathi and leave for Tirumala early in the morning – at 2am or so.

    Please let me know if both of these are possible.

    I have booked E sudharshan ticket online. and the dharshan date is 30.10.2010.
    An the receipt, it is said

    “Please contact CRO internet allotment counter opposite to central reception office at Tirumala to get TTD official ticket

    Its in tirupathi or tirumal. Kindly tell the exact location to replace the official ticket

    Tirumala is in holy city of Tirupati. You have to walk to Tirumala from Tirupati or take transportation to reach Tirumala and visit the Lord.There are four bus station to reach Tirumala from Tirupati – Sri Venkateswara Bus Station, Balaji Link Bus Station, Sapthagiri Link Bus Station, and Sri Padmavathi Bus Station.

    You need to reach Tirupati and then travel by road or can walk to that place to exchange your etickets with darshan ticket at the temple counter near the entrance.

    This will probably not sufficient for 6 people. This has AC Room with 2 beds and attached toilet. You need to book separately for other other guests in order to have space for all.

    I tried to register with TTD for online booking and got reply that i will receive activation code to my mail address. The same has not been received so far. I had lodged complaint on this aspect many a times as i had not received the activation code. When ever i tried to book online, it is saying that your account is not activated. Please reconcile and enable the activation at the earliest.

    Hi there,

    I am from Singapore. I’ll be making a trip to Tirumala in the coming 20 Noc 2010. During this trip, I wish to put myself & my 2 other accompanying pilgrims at a Rs.300 accomodation in Tirumala. However, the website at http://www.ttdsevaonline.com shows that all types of accomodation are full on that day. Upon looking at this, I called the TTD Accomodation hotline, who told me that I’m only able to enquire for rooms below the rate of Rs.150. But, the phone operator told me that the Rs.100 & Rs.150 rooms are all available, that I can only book by sending a Demand Draft of Rs.100. My question now is, actually, are there any Rs.300 rooms available on 20 Nov 2010? If there are, how do I book it with the website showing the wrong availability?

    Hello , Where can i get information abt the facilites available in accomodations starting from Rs. 750. [ number of beds, gas stove (as i will be coming with months old baby)].

    Also , is the status on e-accomodation link represent the whole availability for or it is just quota available to book online. Incase if we see that some cottages (say Rs. 750 ) is shown online as Quota full -are there any other channels (direct booking, ttd offices in various citieis) where there may be a possibility?

    Segradarshan tickets are issued on daily basis or on some other basis.What is actual procedure followed for segradarshan……i dont have a room in tirumula so iam planning to take a room in tirupathi and come for segradarshan is it possible or not please reply.waiting for your reply.

    Thanks for providing this wonderfull service. We are planning to visit Tirumala on 23.11.2010 and are looking at ttdsevaonline for booking e-accommodation online. We need accommodation for around 16+ people. But the availability is only for rooms having rent of Rs. 2000. I am thinking of going with 2000 Rs. I do not know how many rooms to be taken to accommodate 16+ people.
