Sudarsanam token counters and Sudarsanam token booking

Due to heavy crowds in Tirupati, the devotees had to wait a lot for seeking Darshans of Lord Venkateshwara. Devotees even had to wait even for some couple of hours in the Venkateshwara queue complex to seek Darshans. In order to overcome this big inconvenience caused to the devotees, TTD online booking started Sudarshan Token System. This system was started to minimize the waiting timings for Sarvadarsanam, Special Darshan and other paid darshan/sevas.

Under this system, the devotees’ waiting time in the Venkateshwara queue complex was crashed drastically which helped TTD to curb the tensions of the devotees. A Sudarsanam token is basically a bar coded wrist band that is tied to the devotees’ wrist, providing Darshan timings and the reporting time to him. In this way the pilgrim do not have to stand in the long queue for their turn to come in Venkateshwara queue complex, he/she can easily report at the temple at the time of his/her reporting.

To more update this process, the wrist band token are now replaced by the Biometric tokens. Under these a photograph of the devotee is taken along with their thumb impression and a token is given to them which includes the reporting date and timings for the Darshans. The thumb impression of the pilgrim is verified at Venkateshwara queue complex when he reports there for the Darshan.

The biometric Sudarsanam tokens can be availed at all counters at Tirupati and Tirumala. These are issued only for paid Darshans. For free Darshans both biometric tokens and Sudarsanam tokens are to be taken.

Although it may be noted that the Sudarsanam tokens are issued at the Sudarsanam token counters only that are located at Tirupati and Tirumala. The token shall not be removed even while taking bath.

For those pilgrims who want to book their Sudarsanam tokens in advance, they can do so by booking these online. Sudarsanam token booking online is a quite easy process. A pilgrim can book 3 days to 60 days in advance.

    You can take sheegra darshan tickes and it takes 6-8 hours to complete darshan

    I would like to go for Balaji’s darshan on Saturday evening or Sunday morning i.e. 8.1.2011 and 9.1.2011, how much time would it take for the sheegra darshan? Should I go on Saturday or Sunday? Can I go and buy the darshan ticket in Tirumala, what is the procedure? I’m taking a flight from Mumbai to Chennai and will travel by road. Where is the bus stand situated in Chennai from were I can board a bus for Tirupathi?

    Hi Anupama,

    Sheegra darshan normally takes 8-9 hours. The Seegra Darshan timings are the same as the Saravadarsanam. Hence it will start from 7 in the morning. It happens on Saturady and Sundays to the best of our knowledge.

    We have booked an e-ticket for Sudharsanam darshan for the time slot 11.00 AM to 12.00 Noon, in the ticket we need to go 2 hrs in advance from the time of darshan.

    We are coming from Chennai to Tirupathi by Train and we would reach Tirumala only by 10.30 AM, can we go CRO internet allotment counter for getting the TTD offical Sudarshan ticket using the same, please guide us.

    Normally its a good practice to reach 2 hours before. Normally ticket counter is open for token ticket in place of e-ticket to have the darshans. Please go at your own risk.

    Please visit ttdsevaonline.com for booking thru internet. Visit our darshan timing section to learn which puja is at what time and reach hour and half before the start of that seva. You can also book certain sevas on the current day but this is limited to certain sevas only. If you can tell us which seva you want to perform then we may study the appropriate seva booking timings and advice.

    Im planning to visit tirupati tomorrow. I wanted to know @ sheegra darshan. I wasnt aware @ the online booking and i feel not having enquired. Is it still possible to obtain a sheegra darshan after i reach tirupati or all sheegra darshan tickets sold online itself. As its less than 3 days i am not able to book any now. Reply soon.
